What is IPCONFIG?
IPCONFIG is a command line tool used to control the network connections on Windows Machines.

IPCONFIG - Its used to find out your current TCP/IP settings.This is a very handy network tool for finding your local IP address.
IPCONFIG /all - With ipconfig /all you can also find out your DNS Server and MAC Address. This will show your full TCP/IP configuration for all adapters on your Windows machine.
IPCONFIG /flushdns - Purge the DNS Resolver cache.
IPCONFIG /displaydns - Display the contents of the DNS Resolver Cache.
IPCONFIG /registerdns - Refresh all DHCP leases and re-register DNS names.
IPCONFIG /release [adapter] - Release the IP address for the specified adapter.
