CrowdStrike has released Workaround Steps

CrowdStrike has released a new content update that fixes the previously erroneous update and the resulting host issues. After your devices receive this update, you may need to reboot them for the changes to take effect and to resolve the blue screen (BSOD) issues.

If hosts continue to crash and cannot stay online to receive the Channel File Changes, please follow these workaround steps:

- Boot Windows into Safe Mode or the Windows Recovery Environment.

Navigate to the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike directory.

- Locate the file that matches “C-00000291*.sys” and delete it.

Boot the host normally.
